About paying
Is the free check really free, and do I need an account?
Yes and no. It costs nothing, and there is no sign-up: you type your business and an email, and the result appears on screen and lands in your inbox. That email is also your login later, if you ever want a dashboard.
How do you actually ask the AI?
Through each engine’s official API — OpenAI for ChatGPT, Perplexity’s API, and Google AI Mode through a licensed search-data provider — with your city set, exactly as a local customer would ask. We never scrape a chat window.
Why does the report ask 20 questions two or three times each?
AI answers vary from one ask to the next. Asking the same thing several times turns “ChatGPT named me once” into a rate: how often you are named. The report shows that consistency instead of hiding it.
Will the report tell me what to change?
Yes. It shows which sources every engine cited while answering (the Citation-Gap) and marks each one present or missing for you; that list is the to-do. The Fix-It Kit writes the fixes out for you.
